Makeup Artist Hiring Scams

Makeup Artists beware! There are loads of hiring scams going around that are suspect to be part of a sex trafficking ring. 

keep your guard up, use your head, and if a job proposal seems off to you, it probably is. 

Here is one I received today, and what alerted me it’s a scam.

1. Always check the signatures. This one is missing a website and phone number. 

2. always check the senders email address. This one is businessoffashion.us the official company is businessoffashion.com

3. There is No joan Anderson anywhere in the entire company on the website and does not come up in a search on the site. 

3. The company is based in NYC and is not going to hire an artist based in Albany when they represent artists in NYC 

If you’ve received a scam email I highly suggest forwarding it to the company they’re pretending to represent.
